Andre Citroen: The Man and the Motor Cars
Published in Paperback by Sutton Publishing Ltd (24 June, 1999)
Author: John Reynolds
Average review score:

you'll be impressed
For those with even a passing interest in Citroen cars or the company's founder this book will prove educational and fascinating. The Citroen car, though scarce in the US, is always reverred by automotive journalists, when they are forced to write about the cars. For instance, Autoweek Magazine's inclusion of Citroens in their greatest cars of the century issue. Okay the book, it is well written unlike so many auto books; entertaining, full of interesting info about Andre Citroen's unlikely role as auto entrepreneur, and Paris and France. Mostly, you will be very impressed by the relatively unknown (in USA) Citroen company's major contributions to automotive engineering and efforts in World War II. If you consider yourself knowledgable of cars, include this book and you never refer to a Citroen as an ugly car again. I read this book at the library and probably will buy my own copy.

Art of the Himalayas: Treasures from Nepal and Tibet

Stunning Tibetan Art / Should Be a Best-Seller
This magnificient collection showed at the Portland (Oregon) Art Museum several years ago. In terms of the quality of the thanka paintings, bronzes and ritual items gathered for the exhibit and reproduced in gorgeous full-color detail in this book, it is second only to "Wisdom and Compassion." The latter benefited from a national audience, widespread publicity, and publication of its catalog by the nation's largest art book publisher. By comparison, this handsome volume is almost unknown. The collection includes unflinching depictions of deeply esoteric symbolism found nowhere else. This book is not only a true bargain but also a must-have for anyone interested in Tibetan art. Although I have many more recent books on the subject, this is one I return to again and again, with great joy and appreciation.

At the Hemingways: With Fifty Years of Correspondence Between Ernest and Marcelline Hemingway
Published in Hardcover by Univ of Idaho Pr (May, 1999)
Authors: Marcelline Hemingway Sanford, Ernest Hemingway, and Michael Reynolds
Average review score:

A Classic Work of Hemingway Biography-- Plus Letters!
Originally published in 1962, At the Hemingways, by Ernest Hemingway's eldest sister, Marcelline, is a classic biography that's long been out of print. In celebration of this year's centennial of Hemingway's birth, the book has been republished with some attractive additions, giving Hemingway aficionados a fine opportunity to add an important volume to their bookshelves. Marcelline Sanford Hemingway recounts in immensely readable prose and in rich detail all the excitement of growing up in a large and unique family gifted in the arts and sciences. She recaptures both the cultural ferment of turn-of-the-century Chicago and the rustic tranquility of the Michigan woods, bringing the years of Hemingway's childhood and the various influences at play on his development alive as no one else could. What's more, this handsome new edition includes a foreword by Hemingway biographer Michael Reynolds, and, still more exciting, 50 years of previously unpublished letters between Hemingway and his sister, tracing their relationship from childhood up to Hemingway's suicide in 1961. A number of the Hemingway letters home from camping trips in Michigan, from the hospital where he convalesced from his wounding in WW I, and from Paris and Pamplona, are real treasures.

BE AN ANGEL! : HEAVENLY HINTS FOR ANGELIC ACTS FROM YOUR GUARDIAN SPIRITS
Published in Hardcover by Simon & Schuster (November, 1994)

Be an Angel: A must-read and a welcome breath of delight!
Be an Angel is a work of art that speaks to all of us craving a break or breath of joy. The playfulness and magical writing/illustration combination make this book a treasure. It's great to pick up before a trip or before work---get to know each angel's name and take them with you! Each angel has a personality and spirit that calls you into the pages. "Winsum" and "Abide", to name a couple, are angels of nature and of the home. Each angel is not only a gift and a surprise, but each comes with helpful hints on how we can be angels in everyday life. My personal favorites are "Wander"--Angel of Travel and "Bloom"--Angel of the Garden. There are angels for mothers, children, and everyone. If only everyone could embrace the message in this delightful book and act on it, the world would be more angelic! A must-read---buy 4 or 5 for friends--this is a perfect book for new moms, graduation gifts, birthday gifts, or tokens of friendship.

Being in the Zone
Published in Audio CD by Smart Tapes (March, 2003)

Inspiring!!
I've listened to the tapes and performed the exercises for several different items in my work and play routines, and I can honestly say, IT WORKS! Several people around the office (including my immediate management) have noticed a change in me. My wife see it too! It is just really a great feeling. I've only been able to "ZONE" once that I was aware of, but just the steps I've been taking to get to the zone in other things are helping. Besides work, I'm a little league umpire. I showed up early one time for a game and had about an hour to kill. I had just gotten out of the car after listening to the last session of the tapes, and thought, "Gee, wouldn't it be great to umpire in the the Zone." So I hauled out the little pamphlet that comes with the tapes. Mind you, I've heard each side about 5 times now, so your words are burned into my head. I did the exercieses, probably too quickly, so didn't expect much. But when game time came, BAM! I WAS IN! It was the most extraordinary feeling, the strike zone was so clear! All my calls were right on the mark. The coaches and players had a great time, beacuse I was in the Zone. And it's all because of you. Thanks.

I was a fellow pilot in fighter sqdn with subject of book.
From first hand knowledge I can verify facts portrayed in this expert insight into combat flying in both bombers and fighters from England during WW2. Best way I could imagine to accurately describe experiences of those days to the present generation. Pity so much history gets distorted ;these days

Belle's Journey
Published in Paperback by Orca Book Publishers (September, 2002)
Authors: Marilynn Reynolds, Stephen McCallum, and Jean Little
Average review score:

Belle's Journey
Belle's Journey is a wonderful book. This is the story of a mare, Belle, and her determination to fight the prairie winter in the 1920's. I really enjoy the many values gained from reading this book to my students. This story allows readers to discuss winter, prairie life, pioneer times, bravery, age discrimination and point of view. It is a well written, realistic fiction story from which both children and adults gain insight about life in the 1920s and how we face the same obstacles today. I have read aloud many pioneer books, and this is definetely a favorite!

Beyond the Killing Tree: A Journey of Discovery
Published in Hardcover by Epicenter Press (September, 1995)
Authors: Stephen Reynolds and Gail Niebrugge
Average review score:

Memoir of a Game Warden in New Mexico and Alaska
In a refreshingly original western voice, Stephen Reynolds tells his life story. As a game warden, he explores the wonders of wild, untamed places such as the Gila Wilderness of New Mexico, and the Brooks Range and Yukon Delta of Alaska. He meets people who use the land to live and people who live to abuse it. His is the heritage of a boy raised as a hunter, drawn to the excitement of the kill, but who experiences transform him into an outspoken protector of wildlife. Yet, this is no sermon or manifesto. Stephen Reynolds offers adventure, spiritual change, and transformation - but no easy answers. B&W illustrations.
